A very talented and dear person to my heart Irene Plummer's etsy shop came up and i was like O M GOD!!!! sat for a few minutes..then i could not resist sending her a convo...now this is the scary part guys..cause even though i love this person we lost touch many moons ago..why??? Combination of being so sad and depressed and HERMIT like on my part that's for sure. But i felt the fear and sent the convo anyway..seems like a theme of my life this year folks that i have not talked to in a MILLION years suddenly coming back into my circle...and WOW !!! Irene DID contact me (and does not hate me)and its been wonderful...SOOOOOOOOOOO today i am cleaning my bathroom and here is a piece of her art i have..its a lovely wooden cabinet that i have kept my precious (PRECIOUS) LOL soap in..anyone that knows me i hoard soap ...and i am listening to vintage R.E.M ( irene and i went back in the day and saw them in Portland, Maine) So i thought HEY take a pic and blog this since you been so slack with your blog!!! This beautiful pair of mugs was a special request from another artist on Etsy...she wanted something for her friends birthday. Come to find out her friend has a beautiful mammoth donkey named Tikki.

being creative...

been working in a different medium this week...doing little water colors that i have drawn..been relaxing and creative and gives me a chance to rest my wrists ..i threw a lot of clay last week and some of the pieces were large!
Its fun working with something so different than what i am used to....went to Ma's grill for dinner with friends so i am good to go for a few hours!! :-)

feels so dang good to have the time this weekend to just work in the studio..and not come up with something else to take my desire away..if its work or life or my brain...i shut all that off and just worked...the pots are coming out really good (sometimes they suck!) i worked really late or early LOL this morning on these butter dishes..the frog is a special order...now i have to let em dry slowly with out any cat help and maybe i will have 6 to sell!!! :-)

New is new...i have been working my buns right off and some new stuff is coming outta the kiln..but as i said before i need to get my BIG ol' buns in the studio and throw! got orders and more orders to fill.....its always something though to make me look out the window :-)

The last of the new stuff is coming outta the kiln..i have turned the studio over to just throwing or anything to do with the clay itself...i made 50 ponies last week!! and a few unicorns!! :-)

One of the three butter dishes i had worked on a few weekends ago..the other two were special orders..which are kinda stressful sometimes..this one i could do anything i wanted...and i decided a Golden Crowned Kinglet would be perfect...i still was sweatin a little bit cause the chance of ALL THIS WORK doing a nose dive in the kiln is high..but all three were perfect....i love the colors of this piece...being a potter is a good thing sometimes!! :-) pieces like this make all the work worth it!!
